Perennial Planting Time in Houston.

This is a great time of year to consider perennial plants.  Put them in the ground now and they will bring color and extra value to your Houston area home for years to come.  Remember that word value.  When your home looks like the outside of Downton Abbey it is easier to market if you ever decide to sell.  Even if you stay in your home for the rest of your lives it is still a great idea.

Allow us to introduce you to several of these magnificent perennials -
1.  The beautiful purple Aster.
2.  The Coreopis or “mango flower”.  Wait until next summer to see its mango orange bloom.
3.  Forget-me-nots.  Stress-free light blue blooms.
4.  Gaillardia.  These have the appearance of daisies.
5.  Gaura.  You will look twice at these beautiful white flowers.

Of course, there are dozens of other choices.  To do the job right and completely the first time contact the company that was voted the #1 landscaper in Katy TX.  That’s Laird Landscaping.  They will add the charm that your backyard is missing.  Better yet, they can consult and in most cases implement any Houston area landscaping need that you have.  Call them today at (281) 578-2795.

Lighting Your Backyard.

Now we are into the longer nights and shorter days.  In the Houston area we are blessed that these are some of the best days of the year.  Travel 500 miles north and see how much time people are spending in their backyard this time of year.  Since we are blessed with moderate weather most of the year why not take advantage of it around our home?

Let’s start with a plan.  An underground line will need to be run, so a shallow ditch will need to be dug.  It is imperative to have wiring skills and all of the proper tools.  Where should the electrical post be positioned?  The digging of the trench could become nasty work if you try to do it yourself with mounds of dirt piling up everywhere.

Come on now, this is NOT a DIY project.  You are a phone call away from the #1 landscaper in Katy and one of the top ten in the entire Houston area.  Pick up that phone and call Laird Landscaping.  They have been the area’s backyard lighting professionals for decades.  Let them plan and execute the job…and let there be light!  Call (281) 578-2795 today.
