In Houston, Landscaping is a Year Round Job.

Those poor people up north, when they think landscaping they think Spring and Fall. Those that live in the northern half of the country will just have to wait until next spring to beautify their property.  In the Houston area, landscaping is a year round business.

Now is the perfect time for you, the Houston home owner. Many folks will wait until spring or summer to make landscaping and hardscaping investments. They may even believe that such services are unavailable to them in the fall and winter months, especially if they were born up north and have repatriated to our beautiful city.  Laird Landscaping serves the Houston area year around.

Face it, there's no snow to plow, no blizzards to stop us and no avalanche warnings in our area.  The weather would rarely slow down a great landscape company from putting in a fence, a putting green, a retaining wall, sod, and plenty more ideas... all year long.  Call us today or call us tomorrow at (281) 578-2795. Call anytime. Laird Landscaping is ready to cover your landscaping needs, whether it's Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall.  Take advantage of yet another opportunity that the temperate climate of Houston affords us.

Professional Patio Installation.

Are you considering having a patio professionally installed?  This is a great time to do it now that the hot and humid days are well behind us. There are many different types of materials to choose from, however they don't all produce similar results. Many landscaping websites list stamped concrete as a low cost alternative to individual brick pavers, but like the saying goes, "You get what you pay for." Although stamped concrete achieves a look slightly similar look to brick pavers, inferior durability and the level of difficulty when it comes to making repairs has a huge impact on the actual cost in the long run.

Perhaps the most common material for driveways, walkways, and patios is concrete. It is known for its relatively low cost per square foot which makes it an inexpensive, but quality option for homeowners. Whenever the concrete begins to crack (and it surely will) that is when the long term cost exceeds the cost of installing beautiful brick or stone pavers. Many cracks are a result of shrinkage, heavy loads, settlement, and weather changes. Once these cracks occur they're difficult to repair with an exact color match and the results are often unsightly.

Laird Landscaping has been building professional…long lasting…aesthetically pleasing patios for decades.  Save money in the long run by calling the patio experts in the Houston area to get a professional overview of your beautiful new patio.  They weren’t named Katy’s Best Landscaper for 2015 for nothing.  Call Laird Landscaping today at (281) 578-2795.

Laird Landscaping's Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the inquiries that we often receive at Laird Landscaping in Houston.

- Will you come to my house for a consultation?

Of course, we charge just $75 for a consultation fee. One of our Landscape Architects/Designers will come to your home, meet with you, listen to your ideas and walk through the site, making recommendations, and we will often draw a sketch to scale. If you choose to have Laird Landscaping, Inc. do your work, the $75 will apply towards the overall cost of the project.

- Do I have to pay the full cost up-front?

Typically we request 1/3 down and the net amount upon completion.

- When is the best time of the year for landscaping?

We are fortunate to be living in the Gulf Coast area, which is similar to living in a greenhouse. As a result, we can do landscaping year-round without any problem.

- Can we do the project in phases?

One of the advantages of having a landscape design is that it gives you, the homeowner the ability to do phases of the project as the time and money become available.

- Can we have a low-maintenance landscape?

In our normal landscape design low-maintenance is the goal.  We can create beautiful environments without having to be forced into a high-maintenance situation.

Meet Laird Landscaping of Houston

There may be hundreds of people who call themselves professional landscapers in the Houston area.  What you are probably looking for is a full-service landscaping company.  You want one that offers full scale architectural design and landscaping as well as hardscaping expertise.

Now combine that with over 30 years of quality service in the greater Houston area and you are logically driven to Laird Landscaping.  Be careful with other companies.  Many of their jobs are often subleased to third-party companies, or they simply don't address important issues like drainage and structural integrity.  In simple terms, we do it all without having to sublet much of the work.

Laird Landscaping is proud to have been recently selected for the 2015 Best Businesses of Katy Award in the Landscaping category by the Best Businesses of Katy Award Program.  Wherever you live in the Houston metro your choice for all of your Landscaping needs is Laird Landscaping.  So just as your parents before you give them a call today at (281) 578-2795 or visit their website at www.lairdlandscaping.com.

What is Hardscaping?

Simply defined hardscaping consists of the inanimate elements of landscaping, especially any masonry work or woodwork.  For example, stone walls, concrete or brick patios, tile paths, wooden decks and wooden arbors would all be considered part of the hardscape. But by extension, anything used in landscaping that is not part of the softscape can be considered a hardscape element, including home accents such as water fountains, etc.

Sitting out in the backyard is a real pastime in the fall in the Houston area with the moderating temperatures.  Are you looking for a company that knows the ins and outs of both landscaping and hardscaping?  When you call Laird Landscaping of Houston you have come to the right place.  Hardscaping is HARD WORK even under the best of climate conditions.

What better time to get serious about your environment?  This is the time of year to act on those dreams of beautifying your property.  Call Laird Landscaping today at (281) 578-2795 or visit their website at www.lairdlandscaping.com to see a photo gallery of different ideas that you may want to incorporate.
